OOTD: Don’t FURget to Slay

Here’s a simple thing about me: I’m extra…and very.

Now, while that doesn’t mean I’m the string of ‘extra’ that’ll pair leopard with zebra print, it does mean I love pairing colors, fabrics, and even patterns when they look right together. I like balancing trends with pops of personality to add my take on what’s popular. I like making an otherwise simple outfit a big statement with a bag or bright lipstick. To me, that’s what fashion is about!

So when my little sis made me a super cute (faux) fur jacket and beret set, I was SO excited to play around. The set is a minty blue-green color, and works with so many other colors.

Let’s play!

I paired the set with some dark wash jeans from H&M, a black corset top, and black sandal heels for a mix of simple and posh. I love that intimate wear in everyday fashion is such a huge trend, because now I can get more wears out of my corset pieces! Also the lace mixed with the fur is just a match made in heaven IMO.

You bet I took all of my photos in front of the dealership truck my dad brought home. #NoShame

To accessorize, I added a gold watch, my handy-dandy “you are the pineapple of my eye” clutch, pineapple earrings, and Candy Yum Yum lipstick by MAC! Someone call the haute gawds and tell them to schedule a Detroit Fashion Week so I can go and be extra in peace.

Want a faux fur set of your own? Hit me up and I’ll connect you to my sister! How would you have styled the set, and what other colors are you thinking?
