Let’s Start By SHINING!

WE MADE IT! I don’t know about the rest of you, but I feel refreshed to have made it into another year. (Note: to all resolution-haters, manifestation-shamers, and the rest of you — do yourself a favor and find another blog). I think symbolic times like the New Year offer us opportunity to bring innovation to our habits, paying off in the short and long term.

I brought in 2018 with my family, creating gratitude jars and intention journals, eating and drinking to our heart’s content, and just basking in the glow of love. And yesterday? I gathered ’round a heaping meal of “Hoppin’ John,” honoring my ancestors and ushering in another prosperous year.

Today, the manifestation continues with intentional creative endeavors, and by supporting the work of those close to me. Some of you may know I come from a very creative bloodline. My sisters are artists in their own rights, from digital/visual arts to fashion design.

This New Year’s #OOTD features a skirt by my youngest sister, Nadia. The skirt is made of reversible sequin fabric. I love it! And I’m sure you will, too. See photos below! Outfit details below as well:

Shirt by H&M

Shoes from Marshall’s/TJ Maxx
Jacket from Forever 21

Jewelry from Old Navy
Snapseed 6
Lipstick: Ruby Woo by MAC

Snapseed 7

As with ANYTHING my sister makes, you already know I encourage you all to get one of your own! This skirt comes in various colors including red/silver/black, navy blue/silver, white/pink, white/iridescent, black/rose gold, and more!! Shine your way through 2018 and make a statement at EVERY function!

Are you feeling the reversible sequin trend? Let me know in the comments!
